Got Mail? Or Not!
A discussion about my first dive into all things postal.
First, I want to thank all of you who have offered moral support and encouragement to me in my endeavor to become a digital warrior. I must give special thanks to my friends Kevin and Vivian for encouraging me and getting me out there, and Dr. Z. for continuously saying we should all “do more” in this fight for our spiritual lives. I also have to mention, and sincerely thank, Denise Bliss-Phillips (creator of the “GrassRootsWarrior” channel on Rumble). Although we haven’t met yet I appreciate what she has done by creating a channel which she graciously shares.
Having stepped WAY outside of my comfort zone I must say that so far it’s been an interesting journey.
I would like to go over my video presentation, hosted by Kevin Hoyt on “GrassRootsWarrior”. This was my first presentation in video form, which is posted for viewing on my Rumble channel, “DuckBlue”. Here’s the link: https://rumble.com/v2abao2-a-sharing-of-info-about-the-postal-service.html
I gave a little bit of history concerning the delivery of mail in the U.S. The fact that it used to take many months, at times, for a letter to be delivered from one side of the country to the other gave me a new appreciation for the fact that it only takes a few days now. Being a former rural mail carrier for the USPS myself, I already have a profound appreciation for mail carriers. I didn’t make a career of it and only worked at it for about 5 years but that was enough.
Going down the rabbit hole, just a little, I took a cursory look at 10 individuals who are listed as part of “Leadership”, namely the Board of Governors. It was enough to fuel about an hour of discussion. (There are still MANY more tunnels to explore in this rabbit hole). I ended the presentation with just a few (of many!) little tidbits geared to help viewers understand just how difficult and dangerous the job of a mail carrier can be and a few tips that will hopefully benefit both the viewer and mail carriers overall.
I am planning to do some more digging and see what else I can find. It is not a certainty that I will create another presentation but it’s the plan nonetheless.
Please watch this video. I appreciate feedback and if I misspoke about anything and you can provide material that would give me cause to issue a correction or retraction please do. I will appreciate any input you may have.
As always, thanks for your time. Always remember…If it quacks like a duck…
